Eukaryotic gene regulation

I hope everyone is having a good reading break!

As far as 'chapter 10' goes, you'll find some explanations/notes posted this Friday right here. The main point of the chapter is really the structure and regulation of eukaryotic genes, and some techniques that allow us to study eukaryotic gene regulation. The yeast 2 hybrid system is a bit 'on its own' as it allows us to study the interactions between proteins, and to find out which parts/domains of a protein are sufficient for interaction with another protein.

Next week's tutorial will cover the remaining questions that we have for chapter 10 (questions 13 and 20), and we will review the yeast 2 hybrid system. We may do some 'deficiency' questions from chapter 12, time permitting.

If you have any questions (and I am sure many of you do!) please don't hesitate to post them. the more specific the question, the easier it will be for people to help out.

Happy reading break!

Pam

however, right now there's (almost) nothing there yet). Let me know what kind of info/explanations/stuff you'd like to see!!
